Milam acknowledges that's not easy to do when it comes to one of Mississippi's favorite pastimes - football tailgating.

Those pregame and postgame gatherings can be diet busters of the highest order.

Build energy with foods you eat

Spicy green bean amandine is a good side item for a heart healthy diet.

Research shows that exercise improves your health, lowers disease risk, and even boosts your energy. Why is it then that many people sometimes feel sluggish and tired right after they exercise? More than likely your body has run out of fuel – or energy, that is.

  • I HAVE gained weight back! ACK! 3 lbs! DOUBLE ACK!

I CANNOT let this get out of hand. I'm too proud of where I was just a few weeks ago to lose control now. It requires constant effort though! Especially when I start allowing breads and pastas back into my diet because it's very hard for me to maintain portion control with those things.

My plan right now is 3 fold.

I feel like maybe a semi success story going from 260 to 200 in 3 years and keeping it around 200 and not gaining it back is what I am the most proud. My goal is about 190 and then I will be ready for the success story section of GetFitMississippi. It’s going to be a tough 10 pounds.
