The hard part is over

This weekend I completed a 22-mile run to cap off a 42-mile week of running. It was a tough week just because of the weather conditions, school functions, work and a head cold that is creeping up on me.
My wife says I don't eat enough and that I'm getting too worn down at the height of the training cycle. She's probably right, but I've really tried to eat more than usual. It's just not natural, and it's hard to do for me. That's a blessing and a curse at the same time.
My goal is complete the Mississippi Blues course in under 4 hours, but after I drove the Ridgewood Road section of the course a few days ago, I may have to adjust my goal time. Wow, that will be tough. I'm running hills in my training, but these hills hit you one after another and at the worse time in the course. It will certainly be a challenge, but that's what it's all about.
