What stretching do you do before exercising?

The latest research suggests that static stretching (holding a stretch for 20 to 30 seconds) actually weakens muscles, rather than helping them.
Instead, experts now recommend dynamic stretching before exercising.

The 6 Abs Workout leg stretches are....
awesome for races or before races and after ----------- But I generally don't stretch if i am not competing another race day hint I found was run for a 25 mile to warm up and walk back.... It gets your blood flowin to where it needs to be supposedly!
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength contact me at getfitvicksburg@yahoo.com check out my blog at www.alpha150.blogspot.com
It depends on what I'm
It depends on what I'm doing. I think the basic issue is increasing the blood flow to your muscles before taxing them.
So if I am going to deadlift with heavy weight, I'll warmup with the deadlift motion faster with light weight or even a PVC pipe.
If I'm playing tennis, I'll start with a nice easy jog followed by some sprints and then walking lunges.
I tailor the warmup to the type of workout.
