Scratch One Off The Bucket List, Or, Does Anybody Have Any Advil?

I am happy to tell you that I was among the fortunate few (30,000 or so) who finished Sunday's Chicago Marathon. No, I did not win. And through no fault of my own, I did not finish last. It's been a nine-month process, but I finally reached my goal. If I have inspired you to run a marathon, please seek professional help.
My reward is feeling of accomplishment, a shiny medal on a pretty ribbon, an aching back and two new black toe nails. Also, I now move with the vigor and agility of a 107-year-old man.
I will file a more thorough and self-congratulatory report on Sunday's events later. First I need to work out this cramp in my writing hand.

Way to Go, Charles!!
Charles, it was a real pleasure running the Chicago Marathon with you. Plus, think of all the good times we had downing shots of Advil over the weekend!! Like you, I will perhaps write a more detailed response than this in your upcoming and highly anticipated more thorough and self-congratulatory report.
By the way, you do have alot to congratulate yourself about. (pardon the dangling participle). Not just everybody went out Sunday and did 26.2 miles. You did!
Well, I hear the Advil calling. Otherwise, seeing as how I'm too stiff to get up from the computer, I could be blogging all morning.
