The Little Things

I was reminded this morning that it doesn't always have to be the gym, or a long bike ride. Little things that we can do throughout most days can add up to some fairly significant calorie burning too. Who would have guessed that shopping or walking the dog for a half hour burns about 100 calories? http://avidityfitness.net/2008/08/09/8-simple-ways-to-burn-100-calories/ gives you 6 other ways to burn 100 calories that many of us may not consider. I guess that hour I spent mowing the back lawn Saturday burned up a good 400 calories. I'm ready to go mow the rest!
