It was great to see so many families this weekend at the American Heart Association Go Healthy Challenge at Metrocenter Mall. They gave away 750 backpacks full of school supplies, and the kids and their parents got tons of information about how to eat healthy and exercise.

And what a great turnout ... Elaina Jackson from AHA estimated that there were around 2,000 people. Judging from the crowds I saw, I think that's a conservative guess!

It was a great event, and one that I hope has lasting effects. I had a blast meeting people, and spreading the word about GetFitMississippi.com. :)
