A lesson from psychology

My background in behavioral psychology played an enormous part in my weight loss. Today, let me share with you a simple concept that I think can explain many of the weight loss failures and/or frustrations many of us have experienced in the past.

Nothing is harder than trying to devote yourself to fitness when you are not only out of shape, but morbidly obese. Trust me, I know firsthand.
On Memorial Day, 2006, a friend of mine and I cut down about 60 trees on my property. They were baby pines and not very big at all. My mind told me that if he cut, I could stack that wood in no time.

Monday's WOD

Today was a brutal "Hero" workout named Daniel. This workout is dedicated to Army Sgt 1st Class Daniel Crabtree who was killed in Al Kut, Iraq on Thursday June 8th 2006.

For time, do the following as fast as possible:

50 pullups
400 meter run
21 Thrusters (95 pounds)
800 meter run
21 Thrusters (95 pounds)
400 meter run
50 pullups.

Took me 24:57. The best time of the day was 18:08.
